Budget Day 2013 - PCS Union Strike London.

Budget Day 2013 - My day off with the PCS Union British Library London Branch.

Arrived at Waterloo Tabbard in my inside pocket and Walking Boots on Scarf and Hat - it was going to be a cold day and a Freezing Budget.

Target Main Staff Entrance to get flags and stickers and leaflets and be posted to a standing station.

Public respomse good many "well dones from the passing strangers" and "we're with you's from others".

All in all not a miners strike but a good view of what the Miners saw when they eventually arrived in London at Westminster's Houses of Parliament. We even had TV coverage from inside the House of the Budget - if the French Revolutionarys   had had that TV coverage, at The Bastille, when they were fed cakes they would have been able to see them Baking The Cakes, in the Bastille Ovens from the outside.

In the Middle Ages Strikes were slightly different Sword Lance and Chain being used at the Joust to resolve issues http://maraishistorique-paris.eu/ this book explains some differences up until the Middle Ages in Paris but also mentions the Scottish Defeats at several battles of that Time relevant to the Marais area of Paris.

Chris Parker

Thanksgiving

A celebration will be held at St Michael and All Saints Church in Loppington at 3pm on Friday 1st March – http://www.stmichaels.co.uk/

This is a celebration of Chris’ life, so please wear a splash of colour that Chris will enjoy.

The address of the church is: St Michael and All Angels Church, Nonely Road, Loppington, Shropshire, SY4 5SR

Donations in Lieu of Flowers

At Chris’ request, no flowers, but instead, at St Michael’s there will be a retiring collection in aid of the cancer research conducted by Johann Del Bono, Professor of Experimental Cancer Medicine at The Royal Marsden, Surrey and The Institute of Cancer Research. Chris had a consultation with Professor De Bono only three weeks ago and was very impressed with the work he and his team are doing.

Cheques in favour of The Royal Marsden can be sent to the undertaker: Mr Ian McDougall Pughs Funeral Directors, 133 Londen Coleham, Shrewsbury, SY3 7DN – Tel: 01743 344646 or 01743 362741 http://www.pughsfuneraldirectors.com/

Jackie asked for support to The Parapet Centre King Edwards Hospital Ascot and Wexham Park Cancer Unit near Slough Berkshire .
Chris may or may not be in the Photos but Cancer effects everyone. 25km diveded by 3 Km was 8 runners and some ran twice for different Teams like Skypack International Couriers & Bahrain RFC. & DHL Couriers.
Thank you for looking for Chris.
